Actions we will take
The role of the learning coach is essential to our school to help support student success. At St. Teresa school the learning coach provides instruction and support with LLI (Levelled Literacy Intervention) groups as well as supports for ELL (English Language Learner). Through our inclusive funding we have secured a part time EBS (Emotional Behaviour Specialist) and a full time TA-BT (Therapeutic Assistant Behaviour Therapy) that will support students from grades K - 6. As part of a team approach towards learning and supporting our students, the EBS and TA-BT work alongside teachers, LC (Learning Coach), our inclusive consultant, administration and parents in implementing strategies and techniques that support positive behaviours for struggling students. Our school has developed a plethora of partnerships that support our students' learning and well-being beyond the classroom. We will continue to collaborate with University Nursing students, University Nutrition students, Student teachers for both English and Spanish programs and the AHS Dental program to continue to provide services and supports for our students.

November Review:
As a school community we have developed a well established culture of faith in which daily prayer, sharing the gospel, attending mass and school celebrations are the norm and an integral part of what we do. We are looking forward to being able to participate once again as a school community at Easter mass as well as year end mass at St. Thomas More Parish.
We began our PD with our Math consultant at the start of the school year, she has continued her work with teachers and is now focusing on mentoring teachers 1-1 with using Math Up resources as well as supporting the implementation of the New Curriculum.
In the spring time we are planning workshops and presentations given by indigenous presenters for our students that will be centered on learning more about Indigenous culture.
During our staff meetings we have continued the practice of teacher sharing best practices and strategies. This teacher sharing is also part of our regular SAC meetings for parents. We have continued viewing the EDIAR booster videos as well as have had important conversations around the different topics and the effects to our school community. As a Spanish Bilingual school we were very excited to have participated in the celebration of Hispanic Heritage month in October. Our students took part in a variety of workshops and activities to celebrate the cultural aspect of the program. We are excited to participate in the Indigenous Peoples of Latin America day in June with the rest of the Spanish Bilingual schools in our division.

February Review:
At St. Teresa daily prayer, sharing the gospel, attending mass and school celebrations are the norm and an integral part of what we do. We have started our lenten journey after celebrating Ash Wednesday at school. We were very fortunate to have Deacon Gordon from St. Thomas More Parish join us and lead our celebration. We are looking forward to being able to participate once again as a school community at Easter mass as well as year end mass at St. Thomas More Parish.
Our Math consultant has continued her work with teachers and is now focusing on mentoring teachers 1-1 with using Math Up resources as well as supporting the implementation of the New Curriculum. On May 10th we have a school wide Narrative Write-On planned for grades k-5. Teachers will then spend time reviewing and assessing the writing with their grade partners as well as with their students to be able to support the learning and growth in this area.
Our school team also attends monthly PD led by our consultants to guide and support our work with the New Curriculum, our team brings back a lot of information and hands-on ready to use activities for our teachers in grades k-3 that will support their teaching and planning.
We are very excited to be welcoming 2 indigenous consultants from our division who will be putting on Metis workshops for our students on March 17th for our students. Our hope is that we come together as a school community to learn more about the different indigenous groups, in this case we are going to be learning about Metis History & Culture as well as Finger Weaving and Jigging.
During our staff meetings we have continued the practice of teacher sharing best practices and strategies. This teacher sharing is also part of our regular SAC meetings for parents. We have continued viewing the EDIAR booster videos as well as have had important conversations around the different topics and the effects to our school community. We are excited to participate in the Indigenous Peoples of Latin America day in June with the rest of the Spanish Bilingual schools in our division.
